HOW IT WORKS
Reliable Protection. Simple Operation.
Rupture Pin valves use a precision buckling pin as both the pressure sensor and actuator. During normal operation, the straight pin holds the piston in a bubble-tight position. When pressure reaches the exact set point, the pin buckles and the valve moves immediately to relieve or isolate pressure.
The pin is external to the process flow, does not fragment, and can be replaced without opening the line. This helps provide dependable operation with minimal maintenance and downtime.
Key Advantages
☑ Bubble-tight sealing up to the set point
☑ Opens within milliseconds for rapid protection
☑ Unaffected by pulsating pressure
☑ No loose metal or plastic fragments in the flow stream
☑ Pin cannot fatigue and buckle prematurely
☑ Quick reset without opening the line to atmosphere
☑ Visual indication with optional remote monitoring
